A super lucky Diablo 4 player has struck gold by snagging Andariel’s Visage, one of the game’s rarest Unique items.
In Diablo 4, equipment comes in five distinct rarity levels: Normal, Magic, Rare, Legendary, and Unique. Without a doubt, the rarest and most powerful among them are the Unique items.
To score Unique items, you must take on challenging monsters in the higher world tier Nightmare and Torment campaign difficulties, which as the names suggest are extremely difficult.
According to Blizzard, these items boast game-changing affixes that can define end-game builds, making one lucky player’s discovery all the more impressive.
Diablo 4 player Lithie, also known as YesYou, seems to have become the world’s first documented player to uncover Andariel’s Visage, which is one of the game’s Unique items.
During a recent Twitch stream, featuring Polish creator NadinWins, Lithie showcased how they acquired this ultra-rare item and demonstrated its impressive new powers.
Facing a swarm of spiders, Andariel’s Visage unleashed its devastating area-of-effect attack, Poison Nova, obliterating the oversized arachnids in a matter of seconds.
To top it off, Lithie’s character’s health was swiftly replenished thanks to the Life Steal ability granted by the item, ensuring their survival.
Five Unique items in Diablo 4, including Andariel’s Visage, are so incredibly rare to come by that some players began to doubt their existence.
To address the scepticism, Adam Jackson, the lead class designer, took to Twitter and confirmed they are actually in the game.
According to Jackson, Doombringer, Harlequin Crest, Melted Heart of Selig, Ring of Starless Skies, The Grandfather, and Andariel’s Visage can only be acquired by defeating enemies at level 85 or higher.
He further explained that these highly sought-after items have a chance to drop anywhere regular Unique items can be found, and will consistently drop at a 820 item power level.
Each of these items would definitely level up your loadout, but with such abysmally low drop rates, they might as well be unicorns for most players.
