In just a few years, the demand for crisis preparation and response courses has skyrocketed, with the Association for Emergency Preparedness experiencing a surge in signups. In 2022, the course had 270 students enrolled, but by 2023, that number had jumped to 2,160 – an increase of almost 700 percent.

This year, the association is expecting an even larger turnout, with over 4,600 participants anticipated to take part in the crisis preparation courses. This significant increase in interest highlights the growing importance of being prepared for emergencies and disasters.

The courses offered by the Association for Emergency Preparedness cover a wide range of topics, including first aid, emergency communication, disaster response, and more. With natural disasters, pandemics, and other crises becoming more frequent and severe, it is crucial for individuals to be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively.

Speaking about the surge in demand for the courses, a representative from the association emphasized the importance of being proactive in preparing for emergencies. They stated that being prepared can make a significant difference in how individuals and communities are able to respond and recover from crises.

As the number of participants continues to grow, the Association for Emergency Preparedness is committed to expanding its course offerings and ensuring that individuals have access to the resources they need to be ready for any emergency situation. The increasing interest in crisis preparation and response courses underscores the importance of being proactive and prepared in the face of uncertainty.
