Deliveroo driver sacked for taking disabled man’s groceries then shouting racist insult
The Daily Mirror says a Deliveroo driver has been sacked after swiping a disabled customer’s weekly shop and then branding him a ‘stupid white b*****d’ when he complained.
Matt Dutton is visually impaired and relies on deliveries for food and other essentials.
He had ordered his £50 weekly food shop from Aldi on Tuesday, which was due to be delivered by Deliveroo.
Messages show how the 24-year-old was left confused when the driver began demanding a ‘delivery code’ while he was en route to drop off the food.
When Matt said he only had an order number, the rude Deliveroo worker flew into a rage and told him to ‘f**k off’.
