The FA Cup final was a real rollercoaster of emotions for David Beckham, who was joined by eldest son Brooklyn Beckham for the tense game.

David’s former team Manchester United took on Manchester City at London’s Wembley Stadium, but it was Man City who earned themselves a win, with the final score being 2-1.

Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions won as captain Gundogan scored a goal after just 13 seconds in what was the fastest score in FA Cup final history.

Understandably, it was a lot for the crowd to take in, with David and Brooklyn going from one extreme to the other as they watched the action unfold on the pitch.

Pictured in dapper suits, the footballing icon and his chef son initially cut glum figures as Man City earned their first goal – no prizes for guessing who they were supporting.

But they soon had reasons to get on their feet, with Becks jumping out of his seat and excitedly punching the air following Bruno Fernandes’ goal.

Alas, they were soon humbled, as their team was ultimately defeated and did not lift the trophy.

But the real winner is football, right, David?

Joining the pair was youngest Beckham boy Cruz, 18, who mirrored his dad’s smart attire.

Naturally, people flocked to David for a chat as he sat in the stands.

The former LA Galaxy player was greeted by Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak, who shook his hand as he walked past.

David, now a father of four, kicked off his own footie career at Man United when he was just 17, and he’s still very much loyal to the team today.

Meanwhile, his second eldest Romeo has also ventured into sport.

The 20-year-old plays professionally as a forward for Brentford B, on loan from Inter Miami II.

It’s been quite the week for the Beckhams, who were belting out all of Sir Elton John’s hits in the audience at his concert a few days ago.

Accompanied by youngest Harper, 11, David showcased his own impressive falsetto as he passionately sang along through the music legend’s last London show.

But don’t worry, he’s not venturing into music, having continued to show an interest in football since retiring in 2013.

He’s now one of the owners of Inter Miami, although the club is set to undergo some changes.

On Thursday (June 1), he sent a message to Phil Neville after he was sacked as the head coach.

In a statement posted on the club’s website, David said: ‘When we appointed Phil we knew he would give Inter Miami his all and I have watched him work incredibly hard and with real commitment towards the ambitions we set out for the club.

‘He and his family embraced Miami and he has devoted himself to the drive to bring success to the city and to our fans.

‘Phil has made a real contribution to the culture of our club with his qualities as a leader and knowledge as a coach.
