Danish priest jailed after murdering wife and dissolving her body in acid
The i says a Danish parish priest has been jailed for 15 years for murdering his wife by smashing her head with a stone and then dissolving her body in acid.
Thomas Gotthard, 45, from Frederikssund in North Zealand, confessed to killing psychologist Maria From Jakobsen, 43, last October, saying his methods were inspired by an episode of the US television drama Breaking Bad.
“I killed Maria. I ended her life, she did not deserve that fate,” he told the Hillerød Court at the end of his trial.
