A father-of-six collapsed while helping one of his sons move into his new college dormitory and died.
Jeremy Tillman, 45, was moving his son Jace into a residential building at Arkansas State University when he stopped breathing, according to a police report obtained by Today.
‘When he came through the door, he was in obvious distress,’ Tillman’s fiancé Goodson told KARK. ‘He just had a very sudden medical event as we were moving things in. I guess he may have strained too hard.’
Cops who responded to Living-Learning Community Building 2 on August 19 found Tillman on the floor with foam ‘pouring’ out of his mouth, according to the report.

People in the room were already administering CPR on Tillman. Police used an automated external defibrillator to send an electric shock and attempt to restart his heart, the report states.
Tillman was rushed to St Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, where he died.
‘He loved shooting guns, working on cars and most of all, spending time with his family,’ states Tillman’s obituary.
Tillman had six kids of his own and ‘took me and my 6 children, and chose to integrate us into his life without hesitation’, said Goodson, who had been engaged to him for less than two months.

‘Jeremy was a tender and affectionate partner. He was a man of the highest integrity, and there is no one like him,’ she said. ‘This hole in our hearts will never be able to be filled.’
Tillman was ‘selfless’ and ‘always worked hard to ensure everyone had the things that they wanted and needed, often to his own detriment’, Goodman said.
Arkansas State University sent condolences to Tillman’s son and stated the community ‘will continue to support Jace and keep his family in their thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
Tillman’s visitation and funeral was held on Wednesday.
