D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, has taken to TikTok to defend himself against accusations that he was involved in 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death.
The teenager’s body was discovered in a Tesla linked to US music artist D4vd – real name David Anthony Burke – who has confirmed he is ‘fully cooperating’ with police as they conduct their investigation.
A video uploaded to TikTok by user Girl Town accused Burke’s manager, Marshall, of receiving an email from a family friend of Rivas with her missing persons report in February 2024, claiming they knew she was living with Burke and Marshall, who were also roommates.
In the comments of that video, Marshall pushed back on this, writing: ‘This video is false and the person is misinformed. This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW.
‘This has been a tough time for my family as I am a father of 3 children. I received no emails and I’m no one’s roommate, I live full-time at home with my wife and kids
‘My daughter is 14 and this news is affecting so many lives. I never received any emails. I had zero knowledge of anything and I don’t live in California.

‘Also I work remotely 95 per cent of the time and my job doesn’t require me to have much interaction with any of my clients/David, as there are many others that work with him on a day-to-day capacity, not me.
Calling the news ‘tragic’, he shared that he hoped the authorities ‘got to the bottom of it soon’ and urged people to ‘report on factual information’.
In September, police reportedly raided his Hollywood Hills home and recovered ‘several pieces of evidence’.
The reports also indicated that the pair ended the lease on the four-bedroom home and had started the process of moving out, although Marshall has now refuted living there.

A death certificate, obtained by TMZ, showed that Rivas Hernandez’s cause of death had been deferred, pending toxicology results and further investigation.
The same documents also reportedly revealed that Rivas was not pregnant at the time or the year leading up to her death, despite online speculation.
In a statement, LAPD’s Captain and Commanding Officer Scot M. Williams told People: ‘We know for sure that Celeste Rivas Hernandez died and someone placed her body in the front trunk area of David Burke’s Tesla.’
‘We know that the Tesla had been parked at the location from which it was towed for several weeks, so it is very likely Celeste Rivas Hernandez had been dead for several weeks prior to her body being discovered.’
