Coronation Street star Shayne Ward has opened up about an exciting new project he is hoping to begin in collaboration with Netflix.
The actor and X Factor winner, who played Aidan Connor in the ITV soap, is now focusing more on composing TV scores for programmes on the streaming platform, rather than writing pop music.
‘I have been writing a lot of things to pitch to Netflix for their films and series. There will hopefully be a few big things coming out on Netflix soon, but I can’t talk about them right now’, he explained to The Sun.
‘People think if you aren’t releasing your own music, you aren’t working, but I’ve been focusing a lot on my publishing deal over the last few years. I have been writing in quite a few different genres.
‘I have been trying to write with big film scores in mind’, he added.
Sounds so exciting!
In 2018, Shayne was part of a hugely emotional and moving storyline in Coronation Street that saw Aidan end his own life after secretly experiencing mental health problems.
