Coronation Street spoilers: Tyrone’s fury by Cassie’s treatment of Hope and Ruby

Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has been on a rollercoaster of emotions ever since biological mother Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) entered his life again in Coronation Street.

For the majority of Ty’s life, he was raised by his adoptive parents. It was meeting Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) that saw Tyrone discover the truth to a certain degree, but he never found out Cassie was still alive – until a few months ago.

Tyrone learnt that Evelyn had known of Cassie’s whereabouts for the best part of a year, meaning she could’ve attending his and Fiz’s (Jennie McAlpine) wedding last Christmas.

While this is true, Evelyn chose to keep it a secret thinking she’d be protecting Tyrone and her family from Cassie, who is a recovering drug addict.

Life in Weatherfield has been challenging for Cassie. The newcomer has already relapsed and ended up in hospital and constantly fights with Evelyn, who believes trying to stay on the straight and narrow won’t last forever.

Coming up, Cassie sets about decorating Number 9 for Christmas and suggests they throw a party for Hope’s (Isabella Flanagan) birthday.

When the big day eventually arrives, Cassie tells Hope that she doesn’t have to go to school on her birthday – she has a better idea.

After heading out, Hope and Cassie return home sporting nose studs and Tyrone is horrified.

He is then further angered to realise Hope bunked off school for the day and says she’s grounded.

But what will Tyrone say to Cassie, who was let Hope skive from school?
