Sean Tully’s (Antony Cotton) son Dylan (Liam McCheyne) is given a pleasant distraction in Coronation Street soon as school mate Leyla takes an interest in him.
Recently, Dylan has been hanging out with a bully called Mason (Luca Toolan). The teen has managed to manipulate Dylan into trying vapes and breaking into the Rovers Return but when he made comments about Sean’s sexuality, Dylan was somewhat uncomfortable.
Coming up, Dylan surveys his packed lunch with disdain. After losing his job at the pub as a result of it closing down, Sean explains to his son that a pack-up is the only thing he can afford due to not having a lot of money.
Later in the week, after securing a job delivering newspapers for the Kabin, Dylan sets off on his first paper round.

When Mason approaches with a group of girls, he makes fun of Dylan.
Within the group is a girl called Leyla, who sticks up for Dylan and points out that he’s actually earning some money.
Later, overhearing how George’s (Tony Maudsley) house will be empty for a few days while Glenda (Jodie Prenger) is away, Mason puts pressure on Dylan to steal the keys so they can have a party.

But what will Dylan do?
Will he continue to follow Mason, or realise the interaction with Leyla is a sign he shouldn’t follow the bully’s path?
‘My whole description of Dylan is that he just wants to fit in. He wants to make friends no matter what, probably because of his previous encounters in London,’ Liam McCheyne told us.

‘He wants to fit in with the cool kids and be like them. He doesn’t want to be what he was in London – it’s a total change to who he previously was. It’s almost like a new start for him and he can have a bit of freedom so I think that would make him very easily influenced.’
