Coronation Street spoilers: Daniel takes drastic action amid Daisy and Ryan cheating scandal

Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) very nearly discovered Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) in recent Coronation Street scenes, and tonight’s (November 3) episode saw him take drastic action after discovering the truth.

Daisy and Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) had agreed to meet at the Chariot Square Hotel, but after arriving at their room Daisy revealed that it was Daniel she wanted to be with and called the whole thing off.

With Daniel hovering in the hallway outside their room, it was a close call, but the pair managed to get away without being caught.

In order to cover her tracks, Daisy came up with an elaborate lie, which involved mum Christina (Amy Robbins), who returned to the show tonight after Daisy asked to meet with her.

Daisy explained everything, and when Daniel called Christina she was ready with a story that matched Daisy’s.

Unfortunately, this did nothing to dampen Daniel’s suspicions, and when Daisy arrived home a blazing row broke out.

Fortunately, Daisy had had the foresight to cover her tracks, and was able to produce receipts from a different hotel which proved she hadn’t been with Ryan.

Despite this, Daniel still had a niggling feeling, and soon asked Ryan to tell him what was really going on.

Sweet Ryan was quick to throw himself under the bus by admitting that he had told Daisy he loved her, explaining that this was what had made the atmosphere between them awkward.

Finally, Daniel seemed satisfied, and apologised to Daisy for placing the blame on her.

However, Daisy soon messed things up again when she headed to Ryan’s flat to thank him and say goodbye, only to be caught by Lauren (Cait Fitton).

When Lauren later attended her tutoring session with Daniel, it was clear she was distracted.

However, her attention was peaked when Daniel asked her what she didn’t like about the book they were studying – The Great Gatsby – and she revealed that it was the fact that everyone was cheating on each other.

As Daniel explained the reasons some of the characters in the book had for cheating, Lauren pointed out that the narrator of the story was just as bad, as he knew about the cheating and didn’t say anything.

While Daniel believed that they were still talking about the book, it was clear Lauren was thinking about her own involvement in Daisy and Ryan’s affair, and she had soon tripped up by saying that Daisy didn’t deserve to get away with what she had done.

Though Daisy is a character in the Great Gatsby, it was obvious that that wasn’t who Lauren was referring to, and it became clear that Daniel had now caught on when he cut their lesson short, insisting there was something he had to do.

Later, he called Daisy over to Redbank Apartments and revealed his latest shocking action: He had put his mum’s house on the market and put in an offer on Elaine’s old flat.

Daniel insisted that this was their new beginning, though it was clear that Daisy was uncomfortable.

Is Daniel really ready to start again, or is this part of a bigger plan?
