A few weeks ago, Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) decided to help Roy Cropper (David Neilson) with getting a Christmas present for Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) in Coronation Street.
To collect the gift, Roy needed to travel to a village, but couldn’t get there due to problems with his car.
A determined Cassie decided to steal a very shiny and very clean looking Porsche from the garage. She said they’d get Evelyn’s present and then return the car to the garage, and no-one would suspect a thing.
However, when Cassie put the car back, she spotted a huge scratch on the side.

She then decided to move some tools and made it look as though Abi (Sally Carman) was actually responsible.
While Cassie doesn’t have a problem with bending the truth, we know that Roy hates lying – especially to people he cares deeply about.
In tonight’s (December 3) episode, Roy told Cassie that he cannot let Abi take the blame for damaging the car.

Cassie prepared herself to come clean, but it came moments before Kevin (Michael Le Vell) offered her a permanent job at the garage.
The recovering drug addict’s lies had a massive impact on Kevin’s relationship with Abi, as he continued to blame her for the scratch on the car and losing money.

Later on, in the cafe, a guilty Roy was the one to reveal the truth to Abi.
After Kevin’s apology, he told Abi that they wouldn’t be working with Cassie again.
The Abi we knew a fear years ago probably would’ve been glad to see the back of her, but the present day version knew that sacking Cassie would risk her falling apart and most importantly, falling off the wagon.

Heading to Tyrone’s, Abi and Kevin explained to Cassie that she can continue working with them.
Abi went on to say that she has a lot in common with Cassie, and wants to help make sure she creates a better life for herself.

Cassie was really grateful, but Abi then made a comment about her new friend being the ‘before’ version of her, which fuelled Cassie’s jealousy.
But will Cassie keep her head down from now on, or cause more trouble for Abi and Kevin?
