Coronation Street spoiler video: Tim comforts struggling Faye as she makes a decision

Coronation Street’s Faye Windass (Ellie Leach) was given a real shock when the father of her daughter Miley, Jackson Hodge (Joseph Evans) contacted her for the first time in years.

At first she was adamant that she didn’t want to see him or their daughter, but after learning that Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) had invited them over behind her back, her resolve was shaken.

In a new spoiler video for the ITV soap, Faye battles with the possibility of being a part of Miley’s life.

In a moving heart to heart with Tim, she expresses her fears over having to walk away again after falling in love with her.

Tim assures her that that wouldn’t happen and she is just making up excuses, but Faye isn’t so sure.

In an attempt to make her realise that it is worth taking the risk, he explains that there are things he may not have done out of fear, which he would have regretted not doing.

He goes on to apologise for seeing Miley behind Faye’s back, but explains that he didn’t want to miss out.

When he points out that he believes that Faye really does want to meet her, she tearfully reveals that he is right, and the father and daughter share a hug.

While Faye frets that Miley won’t like her, Tim assures her that she will, even if it takes a little while.

Actress Ellie Leach revealed that if Faye’s first meeting with Miley didn’t go to plan then she would ‘definitely be upset’.

‘She plays down her feelings quite a lot. She puts up a front so she doesn’t get hurt because she has been hurt so much in the past.’ The actress revealed.

‘But she also doesn’t want to get her hopes up in case they come crashing down, I think she would be really, really hurt.’

She also explained that if the meeting went well, then it may be bittersweet for Faye.

‘Faye has a real fear of realising that she still loves Miley and realising that she wants to be a mum to her again because she is scared that Miley will be taken away again.

‘So if it does go well, Faye will try to be a mum to Miley for as long as she is in Weatherfield but it would be playing on her mind that Miley might go back to Canada and she would be constantly thinking about when that may be.’
