Following the news of CITV shutting down for good, Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has shared an epic throwback picture, featuring several Corrie and EastEnders legends at the beginning of their careers.
The Maria Connor actress took to Instagram to share a picture of the cast of popular kids TV show The Ward, which was previously known as Children’s Ward, reflecting on the ‘special memories’ she made working on it.
Children’s Ward ran on CITV from 1989 until 2000, and kickstarted the careers of countless soap and drama stars.
Samia wasn’t the only soap star to appear, with fellow Corrie star Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, also popping up in the photo.
They were joined by EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, who played Mick Carter on the BBC soap between 2013 and 2022.
‘It’s sad to hear that CITV is closing as a channel.. I’ve got special memories of working on some of its shows,’ Samia wrote beneath the throwback snap.
‘Can you spot Jane Danson, Danny Dyer and myself?’ She challenged her followers.
In case you need a helping hand, Samia can be seen sitting on the front row, second from the left, with Jane in the row behind, furthest to the left, and Danny on the end of the row at the back.
