Coronation Street has aired another return in the form of Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), ahead of five other previously announced returns.
Viewers last saw Christina at daughter Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) hen party, ahead of her ill-fated wedding to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
Daisy and Christina had a huge row when Christina sided with Daisy’s childhood bullies, and soon found herself uninvited from the wedding.
Christina wasn’t going to leave quietly though, and soon she was proclaiming that Daisy’s wedding was cursed.
Of course, viewers will know that Daisy’s wedding did end in disaster, when stalker Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) attacked her with acid, hitting Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) instead.

Since the attack, Ryan and Daisy have grown closer, with the pair sharing a kiss on more than one occasion.
In recent scenes, they agreed to meet at a hotel, but Daisy soon found herself torn between Ryan and fiancé Daniel.
Ultimately, she decided that it was Daniel she wanted, but she received a shock when she realised that he had come looking for her.

Thankfully, he left before catching them together, but he remained suspicious.
In order to throw him off the sent, Daisy told him that she had been with her mum, but they had had a row and she had stayed in a hotel instead.
The following morning, she met with mum Christina to ask for her help.
She explained everything that had happened and asked her to corroborate her story if Daniel called.

Lo and behold, he did, and Christina followed Daisy’s instructions, giving her a solid alibi.
Will this be a one off appearance from Christina, or will Daisy and Daniel’s current rocky situation mean that she’ll be back?
Her return has come ahead of five more characters who have been confirmed to be on their way back.
Series producer Iain MacLeod recently confirmed the returns of Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths), Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) and Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).
