Conti Cup quarter-finals: London City Lionesses vs Arsenal

The rescheduled Conti Cup quarter-final kicks off tonight at 19:00 GMT.

Arsenal will travel to Princes Park to face London City Lionesses, with both teams hoping to make it through to the semi-finals.

It will be seen as a must-win for Arsenal, who are having a poor season. They are out of the FA Cup – after a 1-0 loss to Manchester City, the title race looks fairly out of reach, and for a team with such great talent, they will really need to win some silverware soon.

The match was delayed for a week due to a waterlogged pitch.

Arsenal, who currently sit third in top-tier WSL, and second-tier side London City both reached the last-eight stage by winning their respective groups.

The rescheduled match will kick off at 19:00 GMT.

By that stage, the clubs will know who stands in their way in the next round, with Aston Villa, Chelsea and Manchester City already through.

The draw for the semi-finals takes place on the BBC News Channel on Friday (18:30 GMT).

Emily Fox will be unavailable for the foreseeable after heading stateside for the Gold Cup with the US Women’s National Team. Amanda Ilestedt missed out at the weekend due to illness, as did Vivianne Miedema with a slight knee irritation.
