China Covid: Millions back in lockdown in China
Cities across China, including Wuhan where Covid-19 was first recorded, have gone into lockdown as the country doubles down on its zero-Covid policy.
More than 800,000 people in one district in Wuhan were told to stay inside until 30 October.
China has reported for a third straight day more than 1,000 Covid-19 cases.
Officials said earlier in the month that there would be no easing of the zero-Covid policy and as of October 24, some 28 cities across China had some degree of lockdown measures. That’s roughly 207 million people affected.
