Cher declared ‘love is love’ as she shared an amorous picture of herself and boyfriend Alexander Edwards on X.
The Believe singer, 77, glowed as she sat on 37-year-old Alexander’s lap and straddled him while stroking his face, looking very much in love.
After announcing their relationship in November 2022, the couple raised eyebrows over their 40-year age gap, although icon Cher has shrugged off any criticism, stating on Instagram: ‘Love doesn’t know math, it sees.’
However, If I Could Turn Back Time icon did recently admit she initially told music producer Alexander she was ‘too old’ for him and even broke one of her dating rules after a mutual friend handed him her number.
‘It was really shocking because people just don’t give out my number,’ she said of the beginning of their romance, admitting she was ‘not surprised’ by all the headlines.
‘I had been telling all my friends, “We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text.” So I did what I said not to do!

Speaking further about their relationship to People, Cher continued: ‘I hate when people say people are special, but lots of people say I’m special, so I can say that he’s special.
‘No matter what happens, I love being with him. He makes me laugh, and we have fun. What I learned is that it’s never too late.
‘If you wrote out all the statistics, you would go, “Well, this is doomed.” But we’ve been together a year, and if it was just a year, it would’ve been worth it. I’ve had the best time.’

‘If you have happiness, you can’t think about how long it’s going to last,’ she added. ‘You have to think about “How does it feel?” and live in the moment.’
The Strong Enough singer and Alexander first met Alexander during an event at Paris Fashion Week in September 2022 and they have remained inseparable ever since.
They confirmed their relationship a few months later and even sparked speculation that they had taken the next step and got engaged after Cher flaunted a huge sparkler on her engagement finger.

Cher, who has been linked to megastars including Gene Simmons and Tom Cruise, recently shared she’s rarely ever been left heartbroken.
Asked how many times she had been devastated by a break-up, Cher responded: ‘Almost none.’

Later in the interview, the I Got You singer also said older men ‘just do not like’ her, and instead advised women that one thing they should do at least once in their life was to ‘go out with a younger man’.
