    THE BIG MATCH

Champions League final: Manchester City v Chelsea

Saturday, 29 May. Kick-off: 20:00 BST. Venue: Estadio do Dragao, Porto

It’s an all-English Champions League final – but will it be Manchester City or Chelsea who will be crowned champions of Europe on Saturday?

The all-English Championship League final. Will it be Manchester City or Chelsea crowned champions on Saturday?

    Manchester City v Chelsea

Premier League champs Manchester City are looking to win the Champions League for the first time.

Chelsea have beaten City twice in the league and FA cup in 2020-21.

    The Match

They’ll be up to 16,500 people inside Porto’s Estadio do Dragao ground to watch.

The final will be decided on the day, with 30 minutes of extra time and then penalties if required.

Both Chelsea and Manchester City will be allowed five substitutions, a sixth permitted for each side if they go into extra time.

The VAR system will be used.

Manchester City have been designated the ‘home’ team so will play in their traditional colours of sky blue and white.

Saturday’s final will air in over 200 countries, the opening ceremony will take place 10 minutes before the game kicks off.

    City’s Pep Guardiola

If City wins, it’ll be the third time Guardiola has won the Champions League as the Spanish boss steered Barcelona to wins in 2009 and 2011.

    Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel

Tuchel is seeking his first Champions League success. Last season he got to the final with Paris St-Germain but lost to Bayern Munich.

    Where Is It Taking Place?

The final was moved from Turkey and now will take place in the Portuguese city of Porto because of Covid restrictions.

Portugal is on England’s green list for travel so players and fans can travel without having to quarantine.

    How Many Fans?

There will be up to 16,500 supporters present for this year’s match – about one-third of the capacity – with Manchester City and Chelsea each receiving an allocation of approximately 6,000 tickets.

Chelsea have returned more than 800 unsold tickets.

How can I watch the final?

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 1, with coverage starting from 6:00 pm. Kick-off is at 8:00 pm BT Sport subscribers can also watch on the BT Sport app and website. It will also be shown for free online via YouTube.
