Negotiations between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda resumed in Geneva more than a year after an initial agreement aimed at resolving their conflict. Despite ongoing talks, fighting continues in eastern Congo, particularly influenced by the activities of M23 and the presence of Rwandan forces, complicating the peace efforts.

Scholastique Mukasonga’s powerful and heartbreaking debut book “Inyenzi or Kackerlackorna” has been released in Sweden, shedding light on the tragic events of the Rwandan genocide. The term “Inyenzi” or “Kackerlackorna” (Cockroaches) was used by the Hutu majority to dehumanize the Tutsi minority, setting the stage for the atrocities that followed.
