Federal investigators are examining “suspicious” letters sent to state election officials and congressional offices, some containing unknown substances. The FBI and U.S. Postal Inspection Service are involved as reports surface from Louisiana and Oklahoma, where packages with white powder prompted evacuations but caused no injuries.
The US military is reportedly preparing plans to use the Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) against Iran’s energy and nuclear sites if directed by President Trump.
The Justice Department has directed California to assess a list of individuals who may have received mail-in ballots despite potentially lacking US citizenship. Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter imposed a 48-hour deadline for this review and requested the segregation of ballots for individuals whose citizenship status cannot be confirmed.
President Trump’s recent meeting with Republican senators became tense when he challenged Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy over the War Powers Resolution.
