Lederer cited conflicting views with the Trump administration regarding the outlet’s direction, which has relied on Defence Department funding for over half its budget.

The U.S. and U.K. impose new sanctions on Iran following an unprecedented attack on Israel, raising concerns of a wider conflict in the Middle East.
