Two boys, aged 10 and 12, were rescued after becoming trapped beneath Blackpool Pier as the tide rose. The youngsters clung to the structure for approximately 40 minutes. Despite their mother’s efforts to reach them, volunteer lifeboat crews arrived swiftly and transported the boys to paramedics onshore.
