What’s going on?
Israel’s election results confirm that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s bloc failed to secure a majority in the parliamentary elections. This outcome follows a significant showing from Arab parties, which obtained record numbers of seats.
The different headlines reflect varying focuses on the election’s aftermath. Euronews states, “Netanyahu bloc short of majority as Arab parties secure record seats,” emphasising the electoral defeat and the rise of Arab representation. In contrast, Reuters headlines, “Netanyahu, at risk of losing power, steps up attacks on Israel’s Arab parties,” suggesting a more immediate reaction from Netanyahu as he confronts the political challenge.

What’s happening?
Alaska’s Governor has initiated an investigation into Mary Peltola’s campaign following allegations that her team recruited a candidate named Dan Sullivan to mislead voters. The inquiry aims to uncover any illicit activities related to the campaign’s alleged tactics to influence the upcoming election.
In comparing headlines, “Alaska governor orders probe into Democratic campaign’s alleged links to same-name candidate” by BBC emphasizes the procedural aspect of the investigation, focusing on the Governor’s directive. Conversely, CNN’s “Justice Department’s Dan Sullivan criminal probe accelerates after Alaska campaign revelations” shifts the focus to the broader implications of the claims, framing it as a potential criminal matter involving the Department of Justice. This distinction highlights how one outlet prioritizes the process of governance while the other underscores the impact of the revelations and their potential legal ramifications.

Manchester United are pushing to complete the free transfer of Juventus star Adrien Rabiot, who is out of contract in June.
Juventus agreed a fee with United for the France midfielder last summer but his wage demands saw talks breakdown.
United signed Real Madrid ace Casemiro instead, while Christian Eriksen also arrived.
However, Erik ten Hag retains a strong interest in the former Paris Saint-Germain ace and L’Equipe say he’s spoken to Rabiot about a move to Old Trafford.
With the Frenchman’s deal in Turin set to expire next month, United could sign Rabiot for free and would be more willing to meet his salary demands as they wouldn’t have to put up a fee.

It’s claimed United are now pushing hard to sign Rabiot and that he’s considered an ‘important objective’ for Ten Hag.
Another key target is Harry Kane, who could cost around £100m should Tottenham consider selling to United.
That price, in part, explains why United are keen on Rabiot as they can sign a World Cup winner in a cut-price deal.
United will consider offers for Scott McTominay this summer, while it’s uncertain whether they will look to make Marcel Sabitzer’s move to the club a permanent one.
Rabiot is enjoying his best campaign with Juventus, having scored 11 in all competitions for the Old Lady this term.
