Mississippi is southern state that borders Alabama to the west, and Arkansas and Louisiana to the East and Tennessee to the North.
Mississippi came to prominence with Gene Hackman’s movie Mississippi burning. The State is synonymous with slave trade and even today the State seems reluctant to move on from its history. But it is a great word for scrabble and arguably the most misspelled word in America.
It was responsible for the blues music which is recognised at the Delta Blues Museum in Clarksdale. The capital city of Mississippi is Jackson.
