India and Pakistan’s deadly strikes have left tensions high in the region as the leaders of both countries decide what their next move should be. 

India’s recent airstrikes in Pakistani-controlled Kashmir have escalated tensions following a militant attack, with Delhi claiming to target “terrorist camps” while Pakistan alleges civilian casualties.

UK and India sign trade deal that will see tariffs reduced on products like whisky and gin, with expectations of a £25.5bn increase in bilateral trade. The agreement could see the UK economy be boosted by around £5bn a year – and marks the largest trade deal established by the UK since Brexit. 

UK and India agree trade deal after more than 3 years of talks. The UK-India trade deal will make it easier for UK firms to export whisky, cars and other products to India, and cut taxes on India’s clothing and footwear exports.

India has launched missile attacks on Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. So far, at least 19 people have been killed and 38 injured.  Pakistan says it has shot down five Indian air jets. 

India has announced it carried out missile strikes targeting nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
