The ballet community is grieving the loss of Vladimir Shklyarov, a principal dancer with Russia’s prestigious Mariinsky Theatre, who passed away at age 39. Shklyarov’s death, confirmed by the Mariinsky on Saturday, is under investigation by Russian authorities.
