Authorities in South Africa report that forty-five have died after a bus veered off a bridge, plummeting approximately 50 meters (165 feet) into a ravine. The sole survivor, an eight-year-old girl, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital. 

Ethiopia’s largest bank has reported the recovery of nearly three-quarters of the $14 million (£12 million) it lost due to a technical issue that allowed customers to withdraw more funds than they had in their accounts.

In Haiti, police have fatally shot at least three individuals while stopping an assault on the nation’s central bank. An employee informed AFP that a “group of criminals” targeted the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) on Monday, resulting in up to four casualties and one guard being wounded.

Local authorities said the accident was due to “the driver’s failure to control the vehicle.”

After more than a decade of control, armed groups in Tripoli have agreed to vacate Libya’s capital. Interior Minister Imad Trabelsi, representing the internationally recognised government, announced the culmination of extensive negotiations with a deal for regular forces to assume policing duties in Tripoli.
