Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant: Why the two fighters hate each other after press conference descends into brawl
The i says Canelo will not share a ring with Caleb Plant until Saturday 6 November but they are already trading blows after the Mexican landed a clean punch on his rival at a press conference on Tuesday.
Plant has denied insulting the 31-year-old’s family during the altercation, revealing that his own mother “was shot and killed by the police two years ago”.
He tweeted: “Why would I ever bring anyone’s mother up and even if I didn’t give a f***, why would I open that door up just for someone to one up me and tell me ‘didn’t your mom get shot and killed by the police dummy?’
