Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – UK release time and download size
This year’s Call Of Duty is almost out, so here’s everything you need to know about the release time in the UK, Game Pass access and download size.
The Black Ops 6 beta back in September was very promising, as it introduced new maps, game modes, and the new omnimovement system, which lets you run and dive in any direction.
It was in stark contrast to its disappointing predecessor, Modern Warfare 3, and will be the first Call Of Duty entry since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard.
As the release of Black Ops 6 is now only a few days away it’s time to get ready, with info on where you can play it, what time it comes out in the UK, and a trick to to play it early.
Black Ops 6 release date in the UK
Activision’s Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 comes out Friday, October 25 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Black Ops 6 will officially launch on PC, via Steam and Battle.net, on October 25 at 5am BST. Those planning to play it on Xbox, Game Pass, or PlayStation, however, will have to wait a little longer, as Black Ops 6 is planned to be rolled out between 12pm October 24 and 7am October 25 in Europe.
How to play Black Ops 6 early
Although Black Ops 6 releases at the same time around the world, because of time zones it comes out at different times of the day in different countries, which in turn creates a trick for getting early access in the UK.
If you can convince your device that you’re in New Zealand, where it comes out 12 hours earlier compared to the UK, you can start playing Black Ops 6 straight away. It’s a good trick to know, as it works with any game, and you can check out all the steps of how to do it here.
Is Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Game Pass?
Yes, Black Ops 6 will be available for free on day one for anyone with a Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription. It won’t be available via Game Pass Standard though.
It’s also expected that future Call Of Duty titles will come to Game Pass too, as Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said earlier this year:
‘Our intent is the full portfolio of games from ZeniMax [parent company of Bethesda], Activision Blizzard, and XGS [Xbox Game Studios] will be on Game Pass, day one.’
Black Ops 6 is also coming to Xbox cloud gaming on day one, via Game Pass Ultimate, which is the only membership option with access to both console and PC titles, plus cloud gaming.
What’s in the Black Ops 6 Vault Edition?
There are two pre-order options: the Standard Edition and the Vault Edition, costing £69.99 and £99.99, respectively.
The Vault Edition comes with the base game as well as other perks, such as:
Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack (Adler, Park, Brutus, and Klaus skins).
Mastercraft Collection including five weapons.
BlackCell (1 Season), which comes with a Battle Pass, 20 Tier Skips, and 1,100 CP.
12 GobbleGum for Zombies, of high rarity.
How many GB is Black Ops 6 and pre-loading times
If you’ve pre-ordered it, you can start pre-loading Black Ops 6 right away, which is a good idea if you want to play it immediately.
According to the PC specifications on Steam, Black Ops 6 needs 128GB of space on an SSD hard drive.
It’s not entirely clear how much space is needed on consoles, but someone who has already pre-loaded the game on Xbox states on Reddit that you can download Black Ops 6 in sections, choosing what you want.
According to the post, the Black Ops 6 multiplayer and Call Of Duty Headquarters will require 66GB, while the campaign and Warzone will be another 50GB or so each. This could change, however, as Activision might add new patches before launch.
