Bronx high school shooting: Girl, 16, killed and two teens injured in drive-by
The Metro says a 16-year-old girl was killed and two teenagers were injured in a drive-by shooting outside of a high school in the Bronx on Friday afternoon.
The shooting happened around 2.30pm outside of University Heights Secondary School in the South Bronx in New York City.
The girl, who has not been identified, was shot in the torso. She attended University Prep Charter High School about a block away from where she was shot, according to the New York Post.
The two other teenagers who were shot were a boy and a girl, both aged 17. The boy was shot in the buttocks and the injured female was struck in the leg, the newspaper reported. They were transported to Lincoln Hospital and are expected to survive. They reportedly attend Mott Haven Village Preparatory High School, which is within University Heights.
