Britney Spears: I’m a slave and dad Jamie Spears should be in jail

The Times says in an impassioned speech to a California judge, Britney Spears accused her father and the conservatorship that manages her affairs and finances of treating her like “a slave”, denying her the freedoms of an ordinary life while living off the money she made as a performer.

“I just want my life back. It’s been 13 years and it’s enough,” she told the judge overseeing her conservatorship. “I don’t like feeling like I’m working for the people I pay.”
