British Embassy spy suspect is ex-RAF airman with hoard of Russian items
The Times says the British embassy security guard suspected of selling information to Moscow is a former RAF airman who had two Russian flags and hoards of Soviet Union memorabilia in his flat.
David Smith, 57, who was arrested at the Berlin embassy on Tuesday, was a junior non-commissioned officer. He left in the 2000s and is not believed to have served in the military since.
