Britain remembers Princess Diana 24-years on
Princess Diana – The People’s Princess – has been remembered by her family and the British public, 24-years on from her tragic death.
Her brother Charles Spencer flew the Spencer family flag above the home of Althorp House in Northamptonshire – Diana’s childhood home and the place she is buried.
Princess Diana died after a car crash in Paris in August 1997 when she was just 36-years-old.
On the Althorp Instagram page, fans were shown a picture of the avenue of 36 trees that Diana’s brother Charles Spencer planted not long after she died. The 36 trees represent her 36-years on Earth.

Her sons Prince William and Prince Harry usually spend the day together at Diana’s grave. But due to Covid travel restrictions, they’ll be marking the day separately. With Prince William reportedly making the trip to Diana’s grave with his wife.
Meanwhile, Britain continues to pay tribute to Princess Diana. Flowers have been laid and messages added to the gates of her home, Kensington Palace. Others have visited the recently unveiled statue that was commissioned by her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
