Bridgerton Queen Charlotte star India Amarteifio had some awkward moments after watching her sex scenes with her mum.
The upcoming spin-off series is a prequel to the hugely popular period drama and will focus on young Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, as well as her romance with King George (Corey Mylchreest).
Golda Rosheuvel will reprise her role as the monarch, while India will be playing the younger version of the character in the six-part series.
Like its predecessor, there will be plenty of intimate scenes in this series, but India has shared she decided to throw caution to the wind and watch some of the early episodes with her mum.
When appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, India advised some of her family members that they might want to pick up some alcohol before tuning into the show.
After being questioned more by the talk show host as to why, she explained that some of the scenes are a ‘little bit racy and not for the eyes’.

With her mum in the audience, Jimmy asked India, 21, if she had seen the show yet.
‘Yea, we watched it together,’ India nervously said.
‘It was a … bonding experience no other,’ she added.

Turning to her mum, India asked if she agreed, to which Jimmy said he wanted to find out who was ‘more uncomfortable’ during the viewing.
‘I think I knew what to expect because I had been reading some lines to her when she was auditioning, but no steamy lines, so I sort of knew what to expect,’ her mum explained.
‘I think it’s fabulous, so I sort of switched off the whole “this is my daughter doing steamy scenes”, but it is fabulous though.’

Although India did say it was ‘bizarre’, it was also ‘really nice to have people you love watch something you’ve done and be proud’.
‘I just felt like I needed to jump in the deep end and show her all the steamy scenes and get it out of the way and then we can get past it,’ she added.
However, India said she had no plans to do the same with other family members, and would definitely not be tuning in with her grandparents.
She did share hat she had considered the idea of creating a spreadsheet for her loved ones and pinpoint exactly where they ‘needed to stop and then continue’.
