    Breaking News: Footage of Indian pilot captured in Pakistan

    A Pakistani military spokesman confirmed that the Pakistan air force had shot down two Indian warplanes after they crossed over the Kashmir border, capturing one pilot.

    The footage shows the capture of the Indian army personnel from one of the planes shot down in Kashmir.

    Major General Asif Ghafoor said Pakistani troops on the ground captured the Indian pilot.

    He said one of the planes crashed in Pakistan’s part of Kashmir, while the other went down in the Indian territory.

    He said “one Indian pilot was arrested by troops on the ground while two are in the area” on Wednesday.

    In this video, you can hear the airforce pilot identifying himself as Wing Commander Abhi Nandan and providing his service number.

    Congress party president Rahul Gandhi has read out a joint statement following a 21-party meeting in the wake of Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression.

    “The leaders expressed concern on the emerging security situation … the leaders expressed their deep concern for the safety of our missing pilot and urge the government to take the nation into confidence.” — Rahul Gandhi.

    Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a key meeting with security and intelligence officials after Pakistan Air Force jets shot down Indian aircraft which had violated Pakistani airspace early this morning.
