A body recovered from the Chicago River has been identified as that of a restaurant worker who was last seen leaving a concert.
The remains of Noah Enos, 26, were pulled from the north branch of the river near the 1300 block of North Elston Avenue around 9.45am on Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Enos went missing at the Salt Shed music venue near the river last Monday night. He had gone to the King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard concert with a co-worker, his girlfriend Nicole Wijs told NBC Chicago.
He had just begun working at Frontier restaurant in Wicker Park, according to Wijs.

Enos and his co-worker became separated while at the concert after he went to the restroom and they could not find each other afterward, said Wijs.
She added that Enos sent her messages on Snapchat throughout the show until around 9pm, and that his phone went dead around 10pm.
Wijs said she began calling hospitals around 10am on Tuesday to see if Enos had checked in. That was when she began having a sinking feeling about the situation.

‘At 4am on Monday, I did drive by The Salt Shed. I think I had a gut feeling then something might be up because it’s just not like Noah,’ she told ABC 7.
‘Even if he did want to go hang out with a friend, he would tell me. He would borrow friends phone to tell me.’
Wijs said she felt ‘sick’ and ‘crumbling’ without Enos.

She described him as ‘incredibly intelligent, charismatic, caring, wonderful person, wonderful boyfriend, wonderful dad to our two dogs’.
‘Not the type of person that would up and leave without question,’ she said, ‘Without a reason.’
Enos’ cause and manner of death have not yet been determined and disclosed.
