Body found in park after search for missing teenager, 19
Tributes have poured in after a body was found in the search for missing Northumberland teenager Reagan Brown.
The 19-year-old from Hexham was first reported missing from the Newcastle city centre on Monday, and family members said her disappearance was ‘extremely out of character’.
Police divers and mountain rescue teams were seen in Leazes Park on Wednesday yesterday afternoon, where a body was discovered
Although formal identification is yet to take place, Reagan’s next of kin have been notified and are currently being supported by specially-trained officers.
Her sister Shaina Nevison, 24, previously spoke about the awful situation that her family are in and said: ‘This is the most out of character thing that Reagan has ever done, it’s like someone has clicked their fingers and she has disappeared.
‘I never would have thought she would just vanish off the face of the earth like this and it has been the most awful experience for me and the entire family to go through.’
She later posted on Facebook: ‘Honestly doesn’t even feel real. feel like i’m stuck in a bad dream.
‘I appreciate all of the messages I am receiving but as of now I don’t have the energy to reply – hope you can all understand.
