Photos of an Israeli nursery show pools of blood and gun clips strewn among children’s toys in the aftermath of an attack where Hamas militants killed at least 100 people.

A set of pictures of the school for children under the age of five shows the destruction after the terrorist attack that sparked an eruption of violence across the region last weekend.

In one photo a tiny pink bike and scooter lie in the chaos of the abandoned items left in the school.

Hamas stormed homes in the Israeli kibbutz of Be’eri just four miles from the Gaza Strip on October 7.

Residents were held hostage while scores were killed and injured just hours after the outbreak of violence last weekend.

The gated community was ripped apart as terrified mums and children tried to hide and escape the destruction.

In another photo bullet holes can be seen sprayed against a white nursery wall with two children’s bikes thrown on the ground.

Parts of the classroom ceilings inside the Israeli school can be seen dangling from the rafters, while a number of teaching tools are scattered across desks.

An IDF soldier told the Sun: ‘This place has many terrible secrets – we’re sadly finding more and more every day.

‘Many children died here – some horribly mutilated.’

Volunteers have since been combing through rubble and devastated homes, searching for survivors and answers about what really happened during the attack.

Footage released by the Israeli military shows the moment militants stormed homes, brandishing rifles and threatening families.

In one clip security cameras inside the kibbutz captured Hamas members gaining access to the community.

CCTV shows terrorists attempting to crawl under the gates at the entrance.

When that failed, they appear to hide before ambushing an approaching car, killing the occupants, then walking through the gates.

Footage shows militants leaving the area through the same gate over an hour later.

Be’eri was home to British-born Lianne Sharabi, who lived there with her daughters Yahel and Noiya, and husband Eli.

Lianne and 13-year-old daughter Yahel were killed by Hamas soldiers in the attack.

The first hours of the conflict were captured in the Be’eri mum’s WhatsApp group, as parents frantically told how militants went house to house knocking on doors throughout the neighbourhood.

The group, that has around 200 members, was used by parents to warn others of the attacks, as well as to share advice on locking safe rooms.

In one exchange, someone asked: ‘Is there something someone can say to calm us down?’ Within seconds a neighbour responded: ‘I’ll tell you,’ before describing how the army would be able to handle it.
