Blizzard ruins World Tiers power levelling trick in Diablo 4

The most recent hotfix in Diablo 4 has put an end to players exploiting higher World Tiers to rapidly level up their characters.

Given that Diablo 4 is still in its early stages, it’s understandable that Blizzard is still actively addressing any gameplay issues, sadly, including those that are particularly helpful to new players.

Recently, Blizzard indirectly nerfed the popular dungeon Ruins of Eridu, due to its high enemy spawn rates, which essentially allowed you to farm more and level up quicker than intended.

Now, a similar exploit, that facilitated rapid advancement in the race to reach level 100 in Diablo 4, has been met with the same fate.

It’s none other than the World Tier exploit, which allowed players to invite others to join games set in the third and fourth World Tiers, which you are not supposed to access until the game is completed.

That might not sound too exploitative at first, but it’s worth noting that those higher-tier enemies reward you with more XP, gold, and rare loot when you slay them, compared to their lower tier counterparts.

This invite trick proved to be a very effective method for quickly skyrocketing your Diablo 4 classes to the highest levels. All you needed to do is have your teammates take on these challenging enemies while you reap the rewards afterwards.

However, there’s none of that anymore, as to gain access to those higher tiers, you’ll now have to conquer the game itself, along with its subsequent capstone dungeon.

In addition to fixing this power levelling exploit, hotfix 11 also addressed an issue where all World Tiers would falsely show as unlocked, even if you hadn’t met the necessary criteria.

The issue causing an unintended damage interaction related to the Druid’s Toxic Claws has also been fixed.

As usual, there was also some more stability improvements, without many details in the notes to know exactly what was changed.
