Beyonce’s backing dancers came to her aid at a recent Renaissance show when a fan tried to fling an object at her on stage.
The Alien Superstar icon, 42, almost became the latest victim of a dangerous trend which has seen concert-goers throw things at performers.
Multiple artists have been injured in recent months, from Bebe Rexha to Harry Styles and Tulisa, with acts now speaking out pleading with fans not to throw anything on stage.
It seems not everyone has got the message however, as a fan at the front row of Beyonce’s latest show was caught on video throwing what appeared to be a jacket at her while she performed.
The item of clothing didn’t hit the star, instead landing near her feet as she carried on singing, but in a short clip making the rounds on social media, her backing dancers Larry and Laurent Bourgeois – aka the Les Twins – can be seen taking the jacket back off the stage and talking to someone in the audience.
They then continue walking, before pausing and turning back around, apparently confronting whoever had thrown the jacket – seconds later, security can be seen talking to the crowd where the item had been thrown from.

The twins were praised for stepping in, with many more taking to Twitter – aka X – to share their exasperation at the entire situation.
‘Why they throw a jacket Bey isn’t gonna wear your sweaty jacket,’ one user wrote, while another shocked fan pointed out that ‘Beyonce is protected like the president.’
One user said the jacket ‘looks like a gift for her and not something to harm her,’ but said it ‘wasn’t the time to throw it.’
It’s not just pop stars who are sick of things being launched at them while performing, as punk legend John Lydon of Sex Pistols condemned the savage attacks, recalling he had previously been hit by a billiard ball and stiletto shoe.
He told Metro.co.uk in no uncertain terms what he thinks of the trend, pleading with people to ‘be sensible.’

‘You can seriously hurt someone here. And the cowardice of hiding in a crowd if there are ill-intentions on your mind makes you the lowest form of life.’
Conversations around etiquette at Beyonce concerts have come thick and fast, with the latest gaffe coming just days after Timothée Chalamet was condemned for smoking during the gig.
The Call Me By Your Name and Dune actor attended the concert with Kylie Jenner – who he’s been romantically connected to for months – in their first public outing together.
‘Smoking cigarettes at a Beyoncé concert I see we’ve left etiquette at the door…,’ a Twitter user wrote under a clip of the actor smoking at the show.
And as another put it: ‘Smoking in the venue without fear of being kicked out is crazy.’
