A BBC reporter has shared the news of the safe arrival of his baby after missing the World Cup.
BBC Sports reporter Matt Graveling has been working for the national broadcaster for the past decade but has explained the important reason why he missed out on watching and reporting on the Lioness’ historic World Cup semi-final win against Australia on Wednesday.
Posting on social media, he revealed that he’d welcomed his ‘miracle IVF baby’.
‘It’s not often @BBCSport reporters miss England in a World Cup Semi final but my future Lioness had other ideas!’ he shared.
‘Our little IVF miracle arrived seconds after @ellatoone99 smashed in the opener and so managed to watch the 2nd half 😅.’
He then went on to congratulate the national team, adding: ‘@Lionesses you have a new fan for the final!’
