The news outlet reported that the Israeli army was responsible for carrying out ‘summary executions’ without corroboration.

The BBC has been forced to apologise after it reported claims from Hamas without corroborating them. The broadcaster apologised after it reported that Israeli soldiers had carried out ‘summary executions’ in the Gaza strip during the war with Israel.

The report is believed to have aired six times on the BBC World Service and Radio Four before it was pulled.
