Barcelona’s stance on signing Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho has been revealed.
The La Liga club are one of a number of teams linked to the Englishman, who has also attracted interest from Juventus and his former side Borussia Dortmund.
United are determined to offload Sancho with United manager Erik ten Hag viewing the winger as a disruptive influence on the rest of his squad.
Sancho was involved in a nasty fall-out with Ten Hag this term with the Dutchman publicly slamming his player in the media for his poor application in training.
Sancho responded by claiming he had been made a ‘scapegoat’ by Ten Hag before he was banned from all of United’s first-team facilities as punishment.
He now looks set to leave Old Trafford and appears to have a number of options, including Barcelona.
It was initially thought that Barcelona would look to take Sancho on loan in the January transfer window but according to new reports in Spain, they have turned their focus to making an approach at the end of the season instead.

It is believed that Sancho’s camp have reached out to Barcelona over a possible move and that the Catalan club ‘appreciate his quality’, but they are unable to take him in on loan in January unless there is an unexpected squad departure.
That means that Barcelona are now focused on taking Sancho on loan for the 2024-25 campaign, but even then, they would need the player to significantly reduce his salary demands if he was to swap United for a season at Camp Nou.
Sancho has registered 12 goals and six assists across 82 games for the Red Devils since he joined United from Dortmund for £73m in 2021.
