Babar Azam has reacted to Pakistan’s shock T20 World Cup defeat to Zimbabwe.

The Pakistan captain said: ‘It’s a very disappointing performance from my team. We were not up to the mark with the bat. We would definitely have taken 130 but we couldn’t get it.

‘We will sit together and discuss our mistakes. We will train hard and come back in the next match.’

Zimbabwe all-rounder Sean Williams, meanwhile, said: ‘I can’t put it into any words because there are still quite a few games ahead of us so we take each day as it comes.

‘It is fantastic to beat the top teams but there is plenty of learning and growing for the young guys to do.

‘It is massive for us. These guys have come from far and wide to watch us and for us to beat Pakistan in Australia, on a quick bouncy wicket, is fantastic. I have no words.’
