All flights to and from mainland China have been stopped by British Airways because of the coronavirus outbreak, the airline has said. The airline’s announcement comes after the UK Foreign Office warned against travelling to China. BA operates daily flights to Shanghai and Beijing from Heathrow. In a statement, they said that the suspension of flights to and from mainland China would take place “with immediate effect.” They added: “We apologise to customers for the inconvenience, but the safety of our customers and crew is always our priority.” Other airlines have already cancelled some flights to China. A northern Afghanistan police base suffered a Taliban attack late Monday killing 11 people. Local government officials said Tuesday that the militants first overran a checkpoint near the base and may have had help getting inside from one of the local policemen.  The details were provided by Mabobullah Ghafarum, a provincial councilman in Baghlan where the attack took place.
