Jacksonville shooting: Racist gunman kills 3 black people in Florida store Three black people in the US, have been killed after a man opened fire at a Dollar Store, in a racially motivated shooting. He then killed himself.  The gunman described as white and in his early 20s, entered the store in Jacksonville, Florida opened fire, killing two men and a woman. Three US marines killed in Australia helicopter crash A military helicopter exercise in Australia has left three US marines dead and more than 20 people injured after the helicopter crashed. The MV-22B Osprey came down on its way to the remote Tiwi islands north of Darwin. Five of the marines are said to be in a serious condition. The Marines were taking part in Predators Run – involving 2,500 troops from the US, Australia, the Phillippines, East Timor and Indonesia. Only US personnel were onboard the military helicopter. Nadine Dorries resigns: Conservative MP attacks PM as she quits Commons More than two months after saying she was resigning from government “with immediate effect,” Nadine Dorries has finally quit the Commons. She launched an attack on the prime minister in her resignation statement, saying “history will not judge you kindly.” She accused PM Rishi Sunak of abandoning “the fundamental principles of Conservatism” and said the country was now run by a “zombie Parliament”. Met Police investigating suspected data breach The Met Police are investigating a data breach after “unauthorised access” was gained to the systems of one of its suppliers. The Met said the company held names, ranks, photos, vetting levels and pay numbers for officers and staff. The force is working to understand what data, if any, had been accessed.
