The EH Bildu group in Congress has presented a non-legal proposal to increase compensation for unfair dismissal, as recommended by the Council of Europe. The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has asked Spain to establish a system of compensation for unfair dismissal that is a “deterrent” for companies and that takes into account “the real damage” suffered by workers, since it considers that the model current does not guarantee it. Voters are able to cast their ballot up until 22:00 local time to choose representatives to serve as Teachtaí Dála (TDs) in the Dáil, the lower house of the Oireachtas (Ireland’s parliament).
