Why Disney+’s Lizzie McGuire revival series has been delayed

ScreenRant says the Lizzie McGuire revival has been delayed as more trouble looms over its production. The plans for the series were announced at D23 last summer with the news of Hilary Duff and other original stars reprising their further delays for Lizzie McGuire tv showroles.

Lizzie McGuire first ran on the Disney Channel in the early 2000s before a feature film was released in 2003.

The new Disney+ revival was set to show Lizzie, now in her 30s, facing new struggles in New York City. The series was supposed to have the character return to Los Angeles for unknown reasons. The new series was initially put on hold in January citing creative differences.

But Duff is now hinting that the issues could go deeper in that the Lizzie McGuire revival isn’t family-friendly enough for Disney’s liking.
