Arsenal have opened talks with Leicester City over a deal for Timothy Castagne, according to reports.
Mikel Arteta is keen to sign a new right-back this summer having played Ben White on the right side of his defence for this season.
The Gunners have already been linked with several potential options including Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo, Real Valldolid’s Ivan Fresneda and Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Fresneda is Arsenal’s top target for the position but Castagne is second on the club’s shortlist.
It’s claimed that Arsenal have begun negotiations with Leicester over a deal for the Belgium international and a move could happen ‘quickly’.

Castagne still has two years remaining on his current deal with Leicester but the 27-year-old has been among those linked with a move away following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The Belgian has been a regular at right-back for Leicester this season but offers a versatile option to Arsenal as he is also capable of playing on the opposite flank.
Castagne is due to link with with Belgium’s national team this week for their Euro 2024 qualifiers against Austria and Estonia.
